DISTANCE LEARNING ADMISSIONS POLICIES
Bible Impart University is an answered prayer for many Christians. Anyone who desires a greater knowledge and understanding of God’s Word, who seeks to further his education, and prepare for more effective Christian service can benefit as a BIU student.

ADMISSION POLICIES & PROCEDURES
All students must be Bible-believing Christians and have demonstrated a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To enter an undergraduate program, applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED.
Those wishing to enter a Masters program must have a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies or some form of Christian ministry major. BIU requires those who have a secular Bachelor degree (not in Biblical or Christian ministry studies) to complete a second B.A. before proceeding to the Masters. This degree requires only 12 courses (24 credits). Most students complete it within 4-8 months.
Doctoral candidates must have earned degrees at the Bachelor and Master levels, and has an adequate background in Biblical studies and church activities.

COMMITMENT TO PERSONAL WALK WITH CHRIST
Students must indicate that they agree with our doctrinal position, and must agree to strive for personal holiness and separation from worldly living. This includes making a diligent effort to pray and to read God’s Word daily, to faithfully attend a Bible believing church and to honor the Lord by abstaining from sinful acts.

STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
I understand that Bible Impart University is a religious school. Credits are not guaranteed to be accepted by secular or state-run programs. I also understand that Accrediting Commission International is a private school organization unrelated to government accreditation.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
Bible Impart University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, religious or denominational background, or physical handicap. Every student is admitted to the same programs, and is allowed the same rights, privileges, and honours.

TRANSFER STUDENTS
Evaluation of transfer credits will be made from official transcripts after the student has been accepted for admission.
Students from schools of higher learning will receive full credit for equivalent courses in which he/she made “C” or better, if the content of the courses meet requirements for the student’s program. The maximum number of transfer credits for each degree program is as follows:
Bachelors – 90 credit hours

EQUIVALENCY EXAM
Students with vocational Christian experience are invited to take the BIU Equivalency Exam.
This test offers credit based upon knowledge gained through years of Bible study and academic learning. A maximum of one-fourth of a student’s undergraduate degree requirements may be earned in this manner. There is no charge for credits awarded as a result of the Equivalency Exam, except for the initial testing fee. LIFE EXPERIENCE AND MINISTRY EVALUATION
Additional academic credit may be available for those who have served in full time positions or received payment for ministry activities. A portfolio may be submitted to determine if any credit may be awarded for experience relating to a specific undergraduate degree. Portfolios must include the scope of each area of experience, the beginning and ending dates, names and phone numbers of those who will verify your participation, and how the experience relates to the degree being sought. Students interested in this opportunity should complete the Ministry Experience Evaluation form. There is a charge for evaluating the portfolio, plus a fee of #3,000 for each credit hour awarded in this manner. The form for the evaluation is provided free of charge. A maximum of one-fourth of a student’s undergraduate degree requirements may be earned in this manner

DROP/RETURN PROCEDURES
A student may return new course books and materials and drop a course within 30 days. Books must be in resalable condition, and a restocking fee must accompany the return. After 30 days, a course may be officially dropped by calling or writing the university. Materials may not be returned.

STUDENT STATUS

ACTIVE-UNDERGRADUATE
A student who is enrolled in the Monthly Payment tuition option must make contact with the university every month with a tuition offering. This plan also requires the student to order twelve or more courses per year for undergraduate students.

INACTIVE OR DROPPED
An undergraduate student becomes inactive when failing to meet the financial or study requirements.
A graduate student making his or her payments is dropped upon failure to make timely payments. Courses will not be shipped until the monthly payment is received. Upon being dropped, the student must pay the drop out fee. Prior to resuming studies or receiving a transcript, the drop out fee must be paid.

REINSTATEMENT
An inactive undergraduate student must pay a reinstatement fee to resume studies with Bible Impart University.

REFUND POLICY
A student may withdraw from a degree program at any time. However, the BIU requests that the intent be confirmed in writing. The student will receive a full refund of any payment made within seventy-two (72) hours of enrollment date except the application fee. If cancellation occurs after seventy-two (72) hours enrollment date no refund will be rendered

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
• Completion of all required courses
• A minimum grade point average of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 2.5 for graduate students.
